The general rule is, the less wear on the skin, the higher the price. Why are we even discussing skin floats? Well, they have a considerable impact on skin value. Each of these five levels can be described with a float number (from 0.00 – 1.00): Analogically, “Factory New” is basically a flawless skin that doesn’t show any signs of usage. The five levels are “Battle-Scarred”, “Well-Worn”, “Field-Tested”, “Minimal Wear”, and “Factory New”, with “Battle-Scarred” skins being the most worn down. Each and every CS:GO skin has an attributed level of wear which refers to the quality of the finish on that particular item. The first factor is the float or the wear of skin. When it comes to CS:GO skins there are three main factors that contribute to the price of a particular skin – skin float, skin rarity, and its special features. There’s also the fact that selling your skin on the Steam Marketplace will be different from its actual monetary value ,since you cannot pay your Steam Funds out into real-life cash. This especially applies to the rarer ones. With digital goods becoming a bigger market year-on-year, the value of certain skins can fluctuate. Why should you know how much your skin is worth?
